Life Poetry And Legacy Of Emily Dickinson English Literature Essay
Life Poetry And Legacy Of Emily Dickinson English Literature Essay Emily Dickinson is a fantastic figure, a genuine symbol, to the domain of verse in the nineteenth century. When introspective philosophy controlled upon the edified world and when American verse was veiled by European impacts, Emily Dickinson severed of regular standards and set up her own style of verse. Through her withdrawn childhoods to her inauspicious passing, Emily Dickinson has summoned her one of a kind style and language into her verse that has built up herself into one of the authors of present day American verse. Emily Dickinsons outer and interior life was nothing not exactly unadventurous (Context 909). She read generally English writing and would frequently contemplate what she read. She communicated a specific affection for the verse of John Keats and Robert Downing, the composition of John Ruskin and Sir Thomas Browne, and the books of George Elliot and Charlotte and Emily Bronte. One of her most loved books is the King James interpretation of the holy book, which contained impacts of both Walt Whitman and of her own. One of Dickinsons styles includes the impact of religion. Dickinsons adjustment of 2 psalm meter binds together with her adjustment of the customary strict conventions of universal Christianity. In spite of the fact that her sonnets mirror a Calvinist legacy especially in their examining self-investigation she was not a conventional Christian. (Setting 911) Her strict perspectives, similar to her life and verse, were unmistakable and person. In any event, when her perspectives incline toward customary instructing, as in her disposition toward interminability, her abstract articulation of such a conviction is strikingly unique. What's more, Dickinsons fiendish amusingness stands out pointedly from the threatening gravity normal for much Calvinist-enlivened strict composition. At long last, her adoration for nature isolates her Puritan forerunners, unifying her rather with such visionary counterparts as Emerson, Whitman, and Thoreau, however her vision of life is starker than theirs. One striking sonnet of Dickinsons is Success is Counted Sweetest. The speaker begins by saying that the individuals who neer succeed put the best rate on progress: They tally it best. To grasp the expense of a nectar, the speaker says, one needs to detect a sorest need. (Dickinson 914) She says that the partners of the successful armed force can't characterize triumph just as the vanquished, bombing man who gets notification from a separation the song of the victors. (Dickinson 914) A few of Emily Dickinsons most striking works appear to take the structure of brief moral sayings, which develop as evidently direct, yet in actuality depicts confounded good and mental facts. Achievement is tallied best is a fine model. Its initial two refrains pass on its moralistic point in which achievement is checked best by the individuals who neer succeed; individuals will in general want things in a more noteworthy perspective when they don't have them. (Dickinson 914) The accompanying lines at that point build up that show truth by submitting two pictures that outlines it: the nectar is a seal of victory, and luxuriousness, and achievement can best be comprehended by somebody who needs it. (Dickinson 914) The vanquished, bombing man fathoms triumph better than the successful armed force does. The sonnet shows Dickinsons 3 impassioned awareness of the perplexing realities of human want, and it shows the beginnings of her sudden, firm style, whereby unpredictable undertones are consolidated into enormously short articulations. (Dickinson 914) I taste an alcohol never blended is another such sonnet by Dickinson where her perspectives are distinctively portrayed. The speaker in Emily Dickinsons I taste an alcohol never prepared is portraying a profound express that she encounters through her spirit mindfulness; the state is so overwhelmingly empowering that she feels as though she had gotten inebriated by drinking liquor. Be that as it may, there is tremendous contrast between her profound inebriation and the strict, physical inebriation of drinking an intoxicating refreshment. The sonnet comprises of fourfold four-line verses. The second and fourth lines in every refrain rhyme, with the primary rhyme pair Pearl and Alcohol being apparently an inclination rhyme. (Dickinson 917) Emily Dickinsons style of composing adds to a mind-blowing incongruity; she utilizes runs abundantly all through I taste an alcohol never fermented. Runs are intended for interference; consequently, she is by all accounts addressing herself as she composes the sonnet. There are numerous runs in this sonnet, demonstrating numerous delays all through; this could be for included emotional impact or just for interferences. Runs permit the peruser time to think and feel (as appeared after the principal line). The runs make the impression of a battling voice, as though a brutal breeze is diverting a portion of the words from the peruser. The runs help to make the speakers voice in the sonnet appear to be removed, as though the person is talking from elsewhere, significantly another measurement away. She utilizes straightforward expression which makes a practical sentiment of expectation. Her stanzas are short which can demonstrate her short life. As a young lady, Emily Dickinson was an ast ute and reliable. (Setting 909) However, after some time, she chose to detach herself from the remainder of the world, just conversing with certain relatives. Her dad was an extremely severe man whose heart was unadulterated and horrendous. Thus, she turned out to be exceptionally timid and grew an inconvenience in social 4 circumstances. She bit by bit turned out to be increasingly more reluctant and chosen to go out less and less. In the long run, she experienced in solitude in her familys house and would not leave to see anybody. Be that as it may, she despite everything figured out how to stay in contact with a couple of close associates through letters. The main time she let anybody inside her room was the point at which she turned out to be in critical condition and required a specialist to come see her. All things being equal, she just permitted the specialist to look at her from a separation. I kicked the bucket for Beauty yet was scant genuinely depicts Dickinsons musings on life and demise. The speaker says that she passed on for Beauty, however she was scarcely acquainted with her burial chamber before a man who kicked the bucket for Truth was set in a burial chamber close to her. At the point when the two delicately revealed to one another the purposes behind their demise, the man reported that Truth and Beauty are the equivalent, and in this manner, he and the speaker were Brethren. The speaker says that they met around evening time, as Kinsmen, and chatted between their burial places until the greenery show up at their lips and encased the names on their headstones. (Dickinson 926) The strange, figurative passing dream of I kicked the bucket for Beauty reviews Keats, however its methodology of appearance has a place only with Dickinson. In this concise verse, she can conjure a sentiment of the upsetting genuineness of death, Until the Moss had arrived at our lips-, the extraordinary difficulty of suffering, I passed on for Beauty. . . One who kicked the bucket for Truth, a particular kind of sentimental wistfulness implied with the longing for divine kinship, And thus, as Kinsmen, met a Night-, and a merriment about the great beyond with hardly sublimated ghastliness about the truth of misfortune: it is wonderful to have a partner with comparative interests; it is horrendous to lie in the burial ground and talk through the dividers of a grave. (Dickinson 926) As the sonnet advances, the high difficulty and want for companionship consistently give up to quiet, cold passing, as the greenery sneaks up the speakers cadaver and her gravestone, crushing both her capa city to talk (covering her lips) and her character (covering her name). The complete consequence of this sonnet is to depict that each element of human life, regardless of whether it be thoughts, emotions, or personality 5 itself, is at last devastated by death. In any case, during the time spent making the demolition consistently something to be changed in accordance with in the burial place and by portraying a speaker who is unaffected by her own disheartening condition, Dickinson devises an image that is unusual, powerful, alarming, and simultaneously, alleviating. (Dickinson 926) This is one of her most exceptional affirmations about death; notwithstanding a few of Dickinsons sonnets, it has no correlations with crafted by some other author. A Bird descended the Walk is another of Dickinsons sonnet for which she uses her style and language. The speaker observes a feathered creature descend the walk, uninformed that it was being watched. The flying creature ate an angleworm, at that point drank a Dew from an advantageous Grass-, then bounced sideways to let a creepy crawly disregard. The feathered creatures on edge, round eyes glanced in all areas. (Dickinson 921) Carefully, the speaker proposes to him a Crumb, yet the winged animal unrolled his quills and took off just as paddling in the water, yet with a delight more calming than that of Oars separate the sea or butterflies jump off Banks of Noon; the feathered creature appeared to swim without sprinkling. (Dickinson 922) Emily Dickinsons life has indicated that one doesn't have to go all through the world or carry on with a full life so as to compose incredible verse. Living alone in Amherst, she thought of her as experience as completely as any writer who has ever lived. (Setting 909) In this sonnet, the easy act of review a winged creature hop down a path grants Dickinson to show her surprising wonderful intensity of reconnaissance and depiction. Dickinson energetically depicts the winged animal as it is eating up a worm, pokes at the grass, skips by a creepy crawly, and looks around terribly. As a conventional being frightened by the speaker into taking off, the winged creature turns into an image for the fast, vivacious, ungraspable untamed soul that isolates nature from the people who expect to develop it. Notwithstanding, the most exceptional part of this sonnet is the depictions in the last verse where Dickinson offers one 6 of the most marvelous pictures of flying in the entirety of verse. By only contribution two speedy complexities of flight and by utilizing oceanic movement, she infers the slightness and inconstancy of traveling through air. The image of butterflies bouncing off Banks of Noon, effo

Attentional Blink Free Essays
Presentation The Attentional Blink Experiment means to decide the capacity of a person to perceive both the objectives given that the person is exposed to quickly evolving upgrades. Also, the hypothesis expresses that after the recognition of the principal focus in a quick stream of visual improvements, the subsequent objective is missed (Niewenstain, Potter, Theeuwes, 2009). Consequently, the investigation intends to demonstrate whether attentional squint is available in the analysis and if the hypothesis is right. We will compose a custom paper test on Attentional Blink or on the other hand any comparative subject just for you Request Now Besides, the proposed speculation for this trial is that the higher partition of the two focuses with one another will expand the likelihood of segregating and revealing the second objective as for the first. Moreover, the trial was directed inside the ergonomics lab at the Science and Technology investigate expanding on February 5, 2013 utilizing the Wadsworth Coglab program application. It was done at just one site to guarantee the consistency of the earth. Additionally, each test comprised of 100 preliminaries. I. Issue STATEMENT Attentional squint is available between focuses of short division. II. Goals 1. Means to affirm the nearness of consideration flicker in the various subjects. 2. Intends to show that the rate detailed for the second objective increments as the detachment of the two targets increments using measurable examination. 3. To distinguish enhancements for the report of the second objective in the improvement introduction, expecting the hypothesis is right. III. Approach A. Choice of Subjects The base required subjects was fifteen subjects which comprises of the understudies of the present Ergcog2 research center class, and they were approached to answer the consideration flicker analyze sincerely. The gathering chose to include extra of 10 subjects outside of DLSU with similar conditions given to the initial fifteen subjects in the class. This was accomplished for the explanation that more information prompts progressively steady and less one-sided results. There was no specific explanation nor rules utilized in picking the subjects. They were picked out of comfort. Clearly, the subjects picked were made out of both male and female and all subjects were in the middle of the ages of 18-22 years of age. B. Analysis Proper 1. Fifteen subjects (from the class) and ten subjects (outside DLSU) were picked to answer the investigation on consideration squint. They were picked utilizing comfort inspecting dispersion. 2. There are two preliminaries in this trial and the gathering thought about this factor. Preliminary 1: Subjects took the investigation without being diverted. Preliminary 2: Subjects took the analysis while being upset during the entire test time frame. Subjects were having synchronous discussion during the entire trial. 3. The product is enacted. Squeezing the spacebar demonstrates the beginning of the main preliminary where a succession of letters shows up. Each letter in the arrangement is just flashed for 100 milliseconds. 4. The errand of the subjects is to decide whether letter J, letter K, or the two letters were flashed in each arrangement. 5. The subject presses the ââ¬Å"Jâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Kâ⬠keys to show that the letters ââ¬Å"Jâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Kâ⬠were flashed in the arrangement separately. The subject can likewise press both ââ¬Å"Jâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Kâ⬠keys on the off chance that he/she accepts that the two letters were flashed. 6. The keys that were squeezed by the subjects are flashed promptly in the screen for the subjects to have the option to check whether the product had the option to get the data accurately or not. 7. Space bar is squeezed by the subject to continue to the following preliminary. . After the 100 preliminaries, a window shows up which shows the graphical aftereffect of the test that was finished by the subject. The chart shows the pace of how the subjects had the option to distinguish the objectives because of how the objectives were isolated. 9. The outcomes were broke down and ends and proposals were made toward the finish of the examination. C. Instruments Used * Computers with CogLab Software are utilized to run the preliminaries in which information are assembled. D. Potential Causes of Error (Factors) Fatigue of the subjects is a potential reason for mistake in the analysis. One run is made out of 100 preliminaries, which can be tiring for the eyes. Subsequently, the subjectââ¬â¢s capacity to recognize targets may break down at the last preliminaries of the trial. Ecological elements can likewise be a potential reason for blunder like having clamor out of sight or having a discussion while doing the test. This is to test whether this sort of factor significantly affects the capacity of the subject to distinguish targets. The subjects not paying attention to the consideration squint test may likewise be a potential wellspring of mistake in the analysis. A few subjects may have recently surged the test. How the subjects would take the investigation is exclusively reliant on their degree of earnestness. IV. RESULTS DISCUSSION Table 1. Rundown of the Mean and Std. Deviation Response on first objective | Separation target| | 0| 2| 4| 6| 8| Mean (percent)| 56| 54. 5| 58| 54. 5| 58| Std. Deviation| 11. 7| 13. 4| 17. 2| 15. 5| 19. 6| Figure 1. Percent Response Vs Target Separation for first objective Table 1 shows that for the main objective the normal reactions for the 5 division target are close to one another. The outcomes for each target division may be differed for the subjects as found in the deviations which are at the scope of 11. 7 to 19. 6, however contrasting the 5 mean would just outcome to a standard deviation of 1. 75. This implies the outcomes are practically consistent and has negligible deviation. Figure 1 likewise shows this pattern the % reactions for each target partition are close to one another. Taking a gander at the outcomes it can likewise be seen that the subjects can just observe 54. 5% to 58% of the first objective, since changes in the diagram is inside these range. Table 2. Rundown of the Mean and Std. Deviation Response on second objective | Separation target| | 0| 2| 4| 6| 8| Mean (percent)| 5. 0| 39. 0| 42. 5| 58. 5| 60. 5| Std. Deviation| 6. 2| 16. 6| 11. 4| 11. 6| 15. 7| Figure 2. Percent Response Vs Target Separation for second objective Table 2 shows that the percent mean of the reactions increments as the objective division increments. Again the outcomes for each target partition likewise fluctuated for the subjects since the deviation ranges from 6. 2 to 16. 6. In any case, the deviation for the zero division isn't that large contrasted with the others, since a large portion of the respondents here can't distinguish the second objective. The deviation for each target partition may be huge however the information and Figure 2 would show a direct relationship with between the % reaction and the objective division of the second objective. This implies the respondents can identify the second objective more as the partition between the two objective increments. The % reaction of the respondents for the second objective is from 5% to 60. 5%. Figure 3. Percent Response Vs Target Separation for first and second objective Figure 3 would show a more clear connection between the first objective and the second objective. The line for first objective (blue) would show a practically straight line design while the line for the second objective (red) would show a line that increments as target division increments. The diagram additionally shows that for target partition 0 to 4, the first objective has a higher % reaction. Be that as it may, when the partition became 6 and 8 the second objective is seen more by the respondents. We could likewise observe that the deviation between the first and second objective reductions as the objective partition increments. For the 0 objective partition the contrast between the two targets are 51% for the 2 sec objective division it got 15. % and the distinction decreases as target partition increments. The best outcome is found in the 8 sec objective partition since first objective has a 58% reaction and the second is 60% reaction the contrast between the two is just 2%. Likewise, so as to recognize the objectives better the subject just spotlights on the letters â⬠Å"Jâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Kâ⬠and ignores different letters in the arrangement. Truth be told, this particular nature of discernment would reduce the over-burdening of data. As per Reed (2004), selectivity is characterized as the centering of parts of consideration, wherein the subject focuses on certain perspectives while overlooks the others. To demonstrate that the attentional flicker hypothesis is right in expressing that the principal target is unaffected by the division of the signs. Also, the subsequent objective, then again, shows that the more drawn out the detachment time of the primary sign to the second, the higher the reaction (Mackewn Goldthwaithe, 2004). Relapse procedure is utilized to see the connection between the objective partition and % reaction of the first and second objective. This would show how the objective division (autonomous) influences the location of the objective for the first and second objective (subordinate). Table 3. Relapse synopsis for first objective. N= 50| Beta| Std. Fail. of Beta| B| Std. Fail. of B| t(48)| p-level| Intercept| à | 55. 4| 3. 75| 14. 77| 0. 00| Separation| 0. 04| 0. 14| 0. 20| 0. 77| 0. 26| 0. 80| The relapse synopsis would show that the partition of the objective isn't connected with the percent reaction of the first objective since the p-level of the relapse is 0. 80 importance it isn't noteworthy in distinguishing the incentive for the first objective. Table 4. Relapse synopsis for second objective. N= 50| Beta| Std. Fail. of Beta| B| Std. Fail. of B| t(48)| p-level| Intercept| à | 15| 3. 9| 4. 18| 0. 00| Separation| 0. 79| 0. 09| 6. 53| 0. 73| 8. 92| 0. 00| The relapse outline shows that for the second objective the objective partition is huge since a p-level of 0. 00 is appeared. Along these lines, this implies target partition influences the % reaction for the second objective. Then again the beta estimation of 6. 53 shows that as the objective detachment builds the % reaction for the second objective additionally increments. The Attentional

I am home. Small thanks to the Airlines.
I am home. Small thanks to the Airlines. My first reaction to the ridiculously ridiculous airline adventure I just had was to write something along these lines and send it to the CEO of my airline, or as high up as possible. My Good Sir, Have you ever ridden on an airplane? During the Holiday Season? Without your Super-Sparkly-Platinum members benefits? Incognito, so that your employees dont know that they need to behave around you? Might I make a small suggestion? DO. Then go back to your interviews and repeat, We need to take excellent care of our customer, and MEAN it this time. I could tell you a story about a traveler who arrived at the wrong airport after a trip four times longer than the one purchased. Or they could. To paraphrase: Well arrive in time for your delayed connection. Though you sprinted through the airport and made the connection, we decided to give your seat away Oops, I miscounted, you could have been on that one. You definitely have a seat on the next flight. The next flight has been canceled. Since before you spoke with the last agent. There is no hope for you. Oh, you can standby on another airline. Let me transfer that ticket. What? They say we havent transferred the ticket? Well, thats because we arent allowed to. No, its not possible. I dont care if they say it needs to be done. I dont care if the other employee told you she did it. You have issues with communication. Huh. Yeah, sometimes transferring tickets gets messed up when they do it at the airport. Let me put you on a flight to another city. Were leaving at 8. 9. 9:40. 10. 10: 30. 10:50. 11:30. Well get you out sometime, we swear. Unless the pilots hours roll over before they get here. Then they need to rest. Have you noticed that this ALWAYS happens? At least seen it in the movies? Random guess: This will happen to masses of people next year, too. Im sick of airlines who tell me I am not communicating correctly when they wont share gate information with the the next terminal. When each employee I speak to contradicts the previous one. Im sick of being offered a limited-offer discounted hotel room when this whole mess is your fault. (And dont blame the weather. You chose your hub. An idiot could have told you it has lousy weather EVERY year exactly when everyone wants to get home.) Im sick of limited blanket and cot supplies and nearly nonexistent power outlets. Im walking home next year. Yours sincerely, Kimberly F. Dietz Except it was originally going to be longer and angrier. And delivered by a hit man. A hit man who smelling like rotting fish, adding that extra epsilon of unpleasantness to the situation. But of course I calmed down eventually, and I do realize the futility of this approach. So I started trying to think constructively. Ideas For Improved Holiday Travel On Airlines I was delayed for several hours because the crew assigned to my plane was stranded elsewhere, and there was no one to fly it, though it sat at the gate gathering ice. I see that your retired pilots club has over 900 dues-paying members. While many of them have surely let their pilots licenses lapse, I cant believe they all have, if only because some must have retired recently. Hire them on again for the holidays! Pay them handsomely to be on call at busy airports. Or just teach your customers to fly while theyre sitting there bored for hours on end, year after year. (Kidding.) You know how you have those little oxygen masks that pop down from the ceiling in case of an emergency? And have maybe been used once? Something less life-threatening but faaaar more common than losing cabin pressure is having a flight delayed indefinitely. Even in the rare event that the airline is giving out blankets, many people dont dare go seek them out, lest they miss their flight if/when it comes. I suggest adapting the existing technology to this situation. Imagine the commercial featuring the announcement! It begins with a shot of passengers sitting at the gate. In the event of a change in boarding time, the comfort compartment above your seat will open automatically. Ceiling panels slide back and blankets, pillows, snacks and games pop down on the ends of bungee cords, bouncing around as they dangle just above the passengers heads. Assist others in need of assistance before getting too comfortable yourself. Cut to a shot of a parent carefully helping a kid open the plastic wrap on their new coloring book, then grabbing a pillow, blanket, and novel from the dangling cords, snuggling into their seat, and reading. Name of Airline: Handling Every Emergency. Keep your Arrival and Departure monitors up to date, for obvious reasons. Make the process by which you update those monitors more transparent. Today a fellow passenger said to me, You know, Ive always wondered about what goes on in the little room [where someone must be predicting when the flight might leave]. Use all those idle people waiting to board planes. For instance: let them update a (probably separate) board with information they know about delays and their reasons, weather in various areas of the country, etc. Give them a small percentage off of their next flight ticket if they contribute, with a promised punishment if the information they contribute turns out to be incorrect. Id enroll in this program immediately. Organize the inter-airline tug-of-war competition between terminals. Or a poetry jam. Or a chess tournament. Make SURE your employees are competent. Dont tolerate employees who goof off with each other while long lines wait, who give incorrect information, who dont know how to transfer tickets. Open lines of communication with other airlines. Arrange to share gate information. Arrange to trade off, covering for each other in areas where one has stronger coverage than the other. Remember Miracle on 34th Street ? Everyone loved Macys after they started keeping track of their competitors toys too and sending them to whatever store had what the customer really wanted. Emulate them. Of course, this sort of suggestion list is also quite likely to go unnoticed. Then, I had one final idea. So, last week a Facebook friend asked me to up-rate his suggestion on Change.orgs Ideas For Change In America Site. The idea is that every throws in their ideas, then they consider each others and vote on them, and the top 10 are given to the Obama team on Inauguration Day. We could do something like this. If everyone else who had a bad travel experience puts in their ideas and also comments on which others they think are good, Ill type up a few of them and forward them to airline CEOs (or whoever the correct contact person is.) And they likely still wont listen. But heres to trying with a spirit of Audacious Hope. p.s. To those of you still out there: Good Luck!!

Emma And The Theme Of Encounters With Strangers - 1264 Words
Carter Waller ENG 327 Professor McAllister Assignment Two 10/28/2015 Emma and the Theme of Encounters with Strangers Jane Austenââ¬â¢s Emma is a novel dominated by obvious themes like romantic love, gender roles, and family. These themes structure the novel wholly, but deeper down, there are less noticeable themes that are significant in themselves. In Emma, the overlooked theme of charactersââ¬â¢ encounters with strangers plays a critical role because of its addition to the readerââ¬â¢s perspectives to multiple aspects of the novel. Encounters with strangers are important because, first, it demonstrates that strangeness, when unsettling the conditions of societyââ¬â¢s communication, makes familiarity more attractive to an individual. Second, after evaluating the societyââ¬â¢s treatment of strangers in the setting of the town of Highbury, it becomes clear that the theme and novel endorse a conservative, simple society. The instances of encounters with strangers in Emma are used to manipulate the reader in order to convince them that Highburyââ¬â¢s entire society needs new faces or new news to gossip about. Upon evaluating Emmaââ¬â¢s two most prominent strangers, Frank Churchill and Jane Fairfax, and their encounters amongst society highlight the importance of which positive qualities are more attractive when temporary, and which qualities are more attractive over time. African Americans Have Been Victims Of Crime Since The 1700s
#BLACKLIVESMATTER African-Americans have been victims of crime since the 1600s: the beginning of slavery in the U.S. During slavery, African-Americansââ¬â¢ were treated unfairly because they were thought to be inferior. Although slavery ended some time ago, African- Americans are still being treated poorly, because some people still believe blacks are inferior. Unfortunately many of these people work for law enforcement. This causes fear among the African-American community, especially African American males. The long history of police violence against African-Americans proves that everyone is still not treated equally, which is causing African- Americans to dislike law enforcement, and fear their lives, and start movements to bring aboutâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦In 2013, 24 year old, Jonathan Ferrell was fatally shot by a police officer while looking for help after crashing his car. In the cases previously addressed, none of the cases rulings seemed impartial. Although Trayvon Martin wasnââ¬â¢t killed by police officers, the case still inflicted fear into African Americans because in the law if someone is murdered without probable cause, they should go to prison for murder. In this instance, George Zimmerman was found not guilty although he was specifically told not to confront Martin and he shot him although he had no weapons. In the case of Rodney King, although the officers were charged with assault, they were not convicted for it. They were found not-guilty, even though there was a video showing that the police officers had beaten King after they couldââ¬â¢ve attained him. In the case of Jonathon Ferrell there was no verdict, although Ferrell had no weapon and was just looking for help. With all this going on, a popular outlet for emotions regarding police brutality was music. A lot of hip hop artists wrote music to release their feelings on this subject. In the 1990s, one famous rap group, N.W.A, wrote a song that really expressed how a lot of African Americans felt at the time and may still feel now.
